On the border of Arizona and New Mexico, is an area called the Peloncillo Mountains. Within these mountains reside a place known as Skeleton Canyon.

Here, there are supposedly many treasures buried though there is a famous one in particular known as the Monterrey Loot.

It gets its name from the city in Mexico which was raided by a group of bandits near the end of the Nineteenth Century according to Listverse.

Making their way back into the United States, where they originally came from, the bandits had 39 gold bars one million dollars’ worth of diamonds and coins as well as several Catholic artifacts
